Codes Of Practice

BCAS operates two types of compressed air codes of practice:

• Industry codes of practice
  
  
• Member codes of practice (codes of conduct).
  
  

Industry codes of practice are the benchmark for establishing good practice in terms of efficiency, reliability and quality of the air produced. BCAS is working with specific sectors who have expressed a desire to set benchmarks for compressed air purity (quality) to minimise risk to product and customers.

Such codes of practice are voluntary but users and/or owners of compressed air systems are strongly advised to check that their compressed air supplier are aware of, and confirming to, these national benchmarks.
